Welcome, Panthers, to the Division of Student Affairs website!
We invite you to look around and get involved in campus life, in whatever way you want. FIU offers you the opportunity to rush a fraternity or sorority, volunteer, apply to live on campus in our state-of-the-art residence halls, attend a leadership conference, join an intramural sport, draft your resume with Career Services, or write for our student newspaper. FIU boasts over 300 clubs and organizations – but if you don’t see one you want, create one! Our 20+ departments will teach you to celebrate diversity, develop a commitment to service, and undoubtedly, make new friends. And we’re not just all fun and games – in fact, the National Survey of Student Engagement shows that student success is directly linked to student involvement.
We’re committed to each student’s academic success by providing you with a variety of support services. Students who become injured, sick, or suffer from chronic conditions may visit Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, the Disability Resource Center, or the Victim Empowerment Program for award-winning care with our compassionate staff. Those experiencing family hardships can talk to the Dean of Students for guidance during a difficult time. Our staff is here to support our students each step of the way: from your first step onto campus through your graduation day.
Regardless if you’re an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student, full-time or part-time, the Division of Student Affairs has something for everyone at F-I-YOU! Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by our office in Graham Center or call us at 305-348-2797.
Larry Lunsford, Ph.D.
