The FIU residence halls close at 12 noon on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Residents are expected to move out within 24 hours of their last final exam.
Pre-approved extensions will be granted for the following residents:
Pre-approved extensions are free of charge and in most cases expected to move out by 10am on Wednesday, May 3rd. The pre-approved student will be able to stay in their current spring assignments with the exception of the extended athletes.
Extended athletes will be housed in University Towers and are expected to move from their spring assignment on or before May 4th.
All other extensions will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis by the FIU Housing Office.
Extensions will be approved for acaademic reasons. Extensions will not be approved for students waiting to move into another location off campus.
Unapproved extensions will be charged $100.00 for each night they stay past the hall closing date.
