Student Food Pantry

The purpose of the food pantries is to serve FIU students in need. The pantries are available to students on both campuses. The BBC Student Food Pantry, located in WUC 307 is run by the department of Healthy Living Program. The MMC Food Pantry, located in DM 166 is run by the Center for Leadership & Service. Both pantries are donations based, which means that all the food distributed comes from donations made by staff, faculty, members of the community, and student groups.

Who can use the pantry?

The pantry is available to all currently enrolled students. No proof of need is required and students can access the pantry once a week taking up to 10 pounds of food each visit.

What do I need to show when I visit the pantry?

Just bring your Panther ID with you.

How can I make a donation?

Donations to the food pantry are taken at Healthy Living Program's office (WUC 307) at BBC and Center for Leadership and Service offices on both campuses (MMC-GC242; BBC-WUC220).

Volunteer at the Pantry

Students are able to volunteer at the MMC Student food pantry during the pantry’s hours of operation. Volunteers tasks include assisting students and dispensing food, weighing donations and organizing the shelves.
