Modesto A. Maidique Campus

FIU's main campus offers recreation and fitness programs, gym facilities, and services to Florida International University’s students, faculty, staff and alumni. When you participate in extracurricular activities like those offered through the Wellness & Recreation Center, you find opportunities for leadership, social and multicultural interaction, camaraderie, physical activity and stress reduction that you can’t find in the classroom. Join the fun – there’s something for everyone!

Funded primarily by your Activities & Services (A&S) Fees as allocated by the FIU Student Government Association (SGA).

Due to on-going expansion efforts, the Wellness and Recreation Center-MMC will close to the public on Sunday, July 24 at 6:00pm and reopen on Monday, August 14 at 6:30am. During that time period, a temporary location will be open in PG6 Mondays - Fridays from 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00pm-6:00pm.

Please be advised:

Because the existing WRC is now an active construction site, patrons are asked to be aware of their surroundings, follow posted signs, and report any dangerous or hazardous situations to WRC management immediately!

Locker rooms will remained closed until further notice. Men's and women's restrooms are located on the second floor, and temporary lockers will still be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Please access the building via the sidewalks surrounding the law school (access via SW 12th Street no longer exists).
