Bikes for Refugees Program

A bike can be an essential means of transportation for newly arrived refugees who have come to the United States to start a new life. The Wellness and Recreation Center Bike Shop, Office of Global Learning Initiatives, and Church World Service (CWS) Miami are currently partnering to collect bikes for newly arriving refugees who will soon call South Florida their new home. You can help by donating a new or gently used bike, or a bike in need of a few repairs to the FIU Bike Shop!

Donations are accepted anytime the bike shop is open!

Don't have a bike to donate, but still want to help? You can also donate clothes and other small household items to Church World Service and ask for Kenneth Fuentes. Bring items to:
1924 NW 84th Avenue
Doral, FL 33126

For larger items like furniture, contact Kenneth at kfuentes@cwsglobal.org or call (305) 774-6770, ext. 1188.
