Dining & Retail

shopFIU, managed by the Office of Business Services, serves as the University’s resource for all dining, retail, and service entities.  In addition to general information, hours of operation, and research, shopFIU aims to provide the community with ways to save time and money by staying on campus.  With over 30 dining locations and 10 retail and services partners, shopping at FIU continues to become more convenient—attributed to a growing vendor portfolio.  Whether it is health & wellness, financial services, textbooks, or technology, shopFIU is here, #wegotyou.

8th Street Campus Kitchen

In addition to the multiple retail venues, 8th Street Campus Kitchen is FIU's all-you-can-eat restaurant. Conveniently located in the Graham Center Student Union on MMC, 8th Street Campus Kitchen has a rotating menu and is open 7-days a week.  Meal plans grant students access to 8th Street Campus Kitchen to ensure students are set up for success while living on campus.

Convenience Stores

FIU has quick-stop convenience stores which provide Boar's Head Deli sandwiches, pizza and grab-and-go items. The Market at Breezeway is conveniently located in University Towers on MMC and stays open late to ensure students have access to everyday essentials or food on the go.

Fall Meal Plans

• Required Meal Plan Options for First Year Students

  Meal plans include access to 8th Street Campus Kitchen and Dining Dollars that can be used at all locations on the Modesto Maidique campus, Biscayne Bay campus, & Engineering Center. Dining Dollars receive 10% off regular items at Panther Dining Locations.  (*Vicky’s Café is excluded from your meal membership)

  Unlimited Plus: Unlimited access to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $500 Dining Dollars per semester.

  Unlimited: Unlimited access to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $250 Dining Dollars per semester.

  
  14/week:  Fourteen meal swipes per week to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $150 Dining Dollars per semester.

  9/week: Nine meal swipes per week to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $300 Dining Dollars per semester.

  *Meal plans are a full academic year commitment 

  *Required meal plans are for first time in college freshman.

  6/week: Six meals all you care to eat meals per week to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $250 Dining Dollars per semester.

  Block 100: 100 all you care to eat meals to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $250 Dining Dollars per semester.

  Block 75: 75 all you care to eat meals to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $250 Dining Dollars per semester.

  Block 50: 50 all you care to eat meals to 8th Street Campus Kitchen + $200 Dining Dollars per semester.

  *Meal plans are a full academic year commitment.
