The Bay Marketplace

The Bay Marketplace is an opportunity for local businesses to connect with the FIU community. Local businesses and student organizations will have the opportunity to promote their products and services to the Biscayne Bay community outside in the plaza of the student union

Date and Time of Event

  • August 30th 2018
  • 10am to 4pm

Location:

  • Panther Plaza

Fees: 

  • The fee for two 6’ tables and parking will be $60 plus tax. No refunds will be issued.

Setup:

  • Table setup may begin at 9am. The event will begin promptly at 10am. Vendors are responsible for the set-up of their own tables and displays. You may use the bus loop to load and unload your items. Vendors are responsible for providing their own tents.

Table Assignment:

  • All tables will be located outside in Panther Plaza. In the event of rain, the event will be moved inside to Panther Square. All table spaces are first come first serve unless you need a space close to an electricity plug. Please indicate on your application if you need electricity

Parking:

  • Vendors can park in metered spaces in Lot 1 next to the library.

Required Documents: The following documents are required at least 7 business days prior to the event date:

  • Business or Occupational License
  • Proof of Valid Liability Insurance with FIU listed in the certificate holder box.
  • Copy of State Driver’s License or Picture ID

Items you may not sell or promote:

  • Credit Card Applications
  • No Alcohol or Tobacco 
  • No materials with FIU Branding
