Fraternity and Sorority Life

The Fraternity and Sorority community at Florida International University proudly offers 31 fraternity and sorority chapters made up of 1300+ students to complement and enhance the college experience. Each fraternal organization is founded on the values of scholarship, leadership, brother|sisterhood, community service and philanthropy. Our fraternity and sorority community boasts a very diverse membership within four governing councils, which include the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the Panhellenic Council (PC). Together they raise thousands of dollars towards local and national philanthropies and complete hundreds of hours of community service. Additionally, our members engage in countless leadership positions throughout campus and take pride in excelling as scholars and critical thinkers in the classroom, while at the same time living their Ritual.

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Florida International University is excited to announce that we are open for expansion. We welcome organizations that belong to one of our four governing councils that currently exist on our campus (IFC, PC, NPHC, and MGC). The Expansion and Recognition Policy (can be found Here.) FIU will welcome both new organizations to establish at FIU as well as organizations with a previous relationship with the institution.
