Online Students

Online programs at FIU give you the flexibility to learn in your own space, at your own pace.

Pursue your dreams, earn your degree.

If you are a student with a disability admitted to a fully online program at FIU, and are ready to get connected with the DRC you can schedule a Welcome Appointment that is online through Skype, by phone, or in person if you prefer.

During the Welcome Appointment you will speak with your DRC Access Consultant and discuss the services we provide, the benefits of receiving accommodations, the resources available to you as an FIU online student, and methods to stay on track with your academic plan. Supporting disability documentation requirements are discussed and any questions about the process can be answered.

Each and every semester DRC students are provided the opportunity to request or decline the provision of academic accommodations. Whether its status-quo or changes are needed, requesting accommodations via the DRC is simple!

Just complete and submit the Notification of Academic Accommodations form to the DRC at the beginning of every semester and we notify your professor and instructional designer for the course within 72 hours. As easy as that!

Feel free to contact us by phone 305-348-3532 or email at drc@fiu.edu for further information.
