Student Food Pantry

Our pantries remain operational with modifications during the university’s remote work/learning schedule. Pre-made 10-pound bags containing an assortment of food and non-perishable items are available weekly to students at the following distribution locations:

Modesto Maidique Campus Pantry
GC Main Office ( GC 1210)
305-348-6995 or 305-348-3204
Monday- Thursday: 12:30pm - 5:00pm

BBC Hours
Monday - Friday
11:00am- 2:00pm
Location: WUC Information Desk ( 1st floor of WUC)

The purpose of the food pantries is to serve FIU students in need. The pantries are available to students on both campuses. Both are run by the Center for Leadership & Service. The pantries are donations based, which means that all the food distributed comes from donations made by staff, faculty, members of the community, and student groups.

Who can use the pantry?

The pantry is available to all currently enrolled students. No proof of need is required and students can access the pantry once a week taking up to 10 pounds of food each visit.

What do I need to show when I visit the pantry?

Please bring your One card.

Will I need to complete any forms?

Students utilizing the student food pantry at MMC will need to complete an electronic new patron waiver.  Click here to find that form. We recommend that students complete this waiver prior to visiting the pantry. If a student has not completed the waiver prior to visiting the MMC pantry, the student will be asked to complete it upon arrival at the pantry. This waiver needs to be completed once a year.  For the BBC food pantry, students will complete a paper version of the waiver upon arrival.

How can I make a donation?

Donations to the food pantry should be dropped off at the Center for Leadership and Service offices at BBC in WUC 353 and at MMC in GC 242. * donation are not being accepted at this moment
