Sexual Assault Prevention Training

As part of our ongoing commitment to promote a safe and healthy University community, FIU has implemented Sexual Assault Prevention courses, which address the critical issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking.

Part One

Estimated time to complete: 60 - 90 minutes
This online course will provide you with information about stalking, dating violence, and sexual violence. After completing Part 1, the enrollment hold will be removed automatically from your myFIU account within a few hours after completion. If the hold is not removed after 24 hours, verify that you have completed the entire course. If you believe you have completed the course and still have the hold, please contact dos@fiu.edu

Intersession

After completing Part 1 you will be required to wait 30 days before Part 2 will be activated. When Part 2 is activated you will receive an email notification and your MyFIU student portal "To Do List" will receive a notification to complete Part 2. You will not be able to complete Part 2 until the end of the 30-day intersession.

Part Two

The second part of this program is an assessment of student attitudes towards sexual and relationship violence, norms, and student history related to these critical issues. The estimated time to complete the assessment is 15 minutes. This assessment will provide valuable feedback to improve sexual assault prevention programs at FIU.

Before you Begin

  • You will need Internet access and audio capabilities.
  • To avoid technical issues, please use Google Chrome, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox.
  • You may take the course in multiple sittings.
  • The course includes surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students' attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential. FIU will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students' answers.
  • Should you experience problems, technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the "Help" link within the course.

If you have general questions or need any assistance, please contact the Dean of Students office at dos@fiu.edu.
