Consultations and Referrals

CAPS provides consultation services by phone and in person. Consultations are used as a means of following up with students who were referred out to other counselors. The staff at CAPS provides appropriate referral to community agencies for eating disorders, substance abuse and dependence, and family therapy.

Same Day Consultations

Students are entitled to a same day session, at which point they will speak with a therapist about their presenting issues. The therapist will ask specific questions to determine the best recommendations for treatment, whether it be at CAPS or in the community. Emergencies are seen every day until closing.

Same Day Consultations Scheduling

Calling in before walking in is a great idea! We are open at 8am Monday thru Friday and can reserve a time slot for you. However, if you arrive late (5 minutes = late), you may lose your spot.
