Financial Wellness Program

The Financial Wellness Program at FIU aims to help students better understand what it means to live a financially healthy life and all the good things that come along with it. By connecting you to resources and having conversations about financial wellness, we hope to help you build the foundational skills you need to be successful.

At FIU, financial wellness is a key component to living a healthy lifestyle. There are four key components of financial wellness:

  • Financial literacy: Gaining the knowledge needed to establish a strong financial foundation
  • Financial self-awareness: Understanding your current financial situation
  • Financial confidence: Feeling confident about your ability to manage your personal finances
  • Financial goal-setting: Establishing and committing to a plan that takes current and future financial needs into consideration

Developing financial wellness is a lifelong skill - starting now, even while in college, creates a strong foundation for a financially healthy future.
