Aquatic Center

The Aquatic Center is located on the Biscayne Bay Campus, overlooking the bay. It is fully furnished and provides an environment for conversation, study or sunbathing. The multipurpose design of the 50-meter by 25-yard pool and stand-alone diving well allow for recreational and instructional use.

Centrally located halfway between the Miami International and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airports, the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Complex is home to various age group swim teams and is the home pool for the FIU Women's Swimming and Diving Team. Major production companies have also used the center for a number of commercial and international movie shoots. The aquatic complex is professionally operated with its own staff of certified swim and CPR/First Aid Instructors. Lifeguards are always on duty.

To use the facility, a valid student ID is required. Faculty, staff, alumni, and the community at large may use the aquatic facility with a purchased pass from the Recreation Center Membership Services Front Desk. Day passes cost $7 per swimmer per day, and metered parking is available for $1 per hour in visitor's parking. Use of our Aquatic Center is included in the semester and annual Fitness Center Membership.
