Swimming Instruction

Private Lessons

  • Learn to Swim - Adult
    • Private adult swim lessons are offered during the months of March, April, May, June, July and September.
    • For off-season training sessions, please call: Barry Tucker – 305-919-4572 for appointment.
    • Each session is a total of: eight, 45-minute classes for the month.
    • Make-up lessons only based on weather cancelation or facility closure – there will be no substitutions based on the user.
    • We advise that you arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to change and enter the pool area.
    • These are adult private swim instructions, with only one student per class. Please come ready to swim with a towel, goggles and a swim cap.

    Cost

    • Lessons - $170 per month
    • Parking
      • Free with decal
      • Metered spaces available for visitors at $1 per hour
  • Learn to Swim Weekday - Youth
    • Private swim lessons for youth ages 4-17 are offered April, May, June, and July.
    • For off-season training sessions, please call: Barry Tucker – 305-919-4572 for appointment.
    • Each session is a total of: eight, 45-minute classes for the month.
    • Make-up lessons only based on weather cancelation or facility closure – there will be no substitutions based on the user.
    • We advise that you arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to change and enter the pool area.
    • These are adult private swim instructions, with only one student per class. Please come ready to swim with a towel, goggles and a swim cap.
    • Parent/guardians are required to wait for their swimmer(s) either inside the Wolfe University Center lobby or on deck in the instruction waiting area.

Masters Swimming Program

  • Masters Swimming Program
    • Now an official US Masters Swimming Club! Our swim coach twice a week leads group swimming.
    • Swim levels vary from experienced swimmers to athletes learning the technical aspects of the sport.
    • Our coach provides a fun, healthy, & supportive environment that allows each individual to reach his or her goals.
    • Practices are held: Tuesdays & Thursday at 6:30PM - 8:30PM, group swim is limited to 10 participants.

    Cost

    • Lessons - $95 per month
    • Parking
      • Free with decal
      • Metered spaces available for visitors at $1 per hour

Need to Know

  • Cancellation Policy

    In the event that the patron cancels class, there is no make-up.

  • Payments

    Payments for the Learn to Swim sessions are made through the Haku App (Credit Card ONLY).

  • Spectator Regulations
    • Any questions that may arise from parents should be addressed after practice.
    • It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that all children have been picked up upon completion of scheduled lesson times.
    • Only parents, guardians or siblings of child learn to swim participants are allowed access into the Aquatic Center.
    • All guests must please check in at the Wellness and Recreation Center Membership Desk prior to entry. All parents and guardians are kindly asked to use the designated learn to swim seating area during swimming lessons.
    • Parents will have an opportunity to speak with the instructor 5 minutes before the end of the lessons session.
    • Parents should also arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled lesson times.
  • Inclement Weather/Rainy Days

    Notification will be sent out to the participant due to weather.

  • Participant Cancellation
