Commencement Schedule

Summer Class of 2024, congratulations! We are excited to reveal our tentative dates for our Summer ceremonies.

Summer Commencement will be taking place July 28 - August 1.

Stay tuned for our Registration dates to be announced. Please note registration will take place via your FIU Portal. 

The commencement ceremonies will take place at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on our beautiful MMC Campus over the span of four days.

The ceremonies will be college-specific. 

Ceremony schedule will be released mid June.

Applying for Graduation and Registering for Commencement are two different steps! While all students graduate, choosing to attend Commencement is optional and has its own registration process.

The Outstanding Graduates are students who have distinguished themselves through research, entrepreneurship, service, perseverance or otherwise exceptional efforts.

FERPA Notice For Graduating Students

If you currently have a FERPA restriction on your records, you will be excluded from the commencement booklet and any commencement ceremonies (virtual or in-person).

If you wish to be included, you must remove your FERPA restriction online through your MyFIU account.

If you do not remove your FERPA restriction by the deadline you will not be listed in the commencement booklet or be able to attend any virtual or in-person commencement ceremony.
